I.T. Career Start Program
The Information Technology Career Start Program is designed to provide you with the skills and certifications necessary to jump start your career in Information Technology (I.T.). The information technology industry is highly focused on certifications. The ITCS program is comprised of seven prominent I.T. industry standard certifications. These certifications provide students with the essential knowledge necessary to succeed in any I.T. position, along with several elective courses that can help magnify the value you can bring to an I.T. support role.
These foundational CompTIA certifications align with three I.T. career paths: Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Administration. These certifications will lay the groundwork for a successful career in I.T., no matter which path you take.

CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist
CompTIA Professional Certification is designed to provide you with the skills and certifications necessary to jump start your career in Information Technology (I.T.). The Certified Network Associate Program is designed to provide you with the skills and certifications necessary to accelerate your career in the fields of enterprise level network engineering. This challenging professional program is for career students who already have experience in the Information Technology field and are looking to update and validate their experience with greatly respected and recognized industry credentials.
1-3 years of proven I.T. experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required to enroll in this program.

The Information Systems Security Professional is a program designed to provide an IT professional with 2+ years of experience with the skills and industry certifications necessary to accelerate a career in Information Technology for Cybersecurity/IT Security. The program is designed to provide you with the I.T. skills and certifications necessary for a successful career administering, managing, security, and troubleshooting complex computer network environments.
1-3 years of proven I.T. experience is required to enroll in this program.

Program Duration: 3-6 months
The Business Technology: Project and Process Management Program is designed for students who would like to further their project management knowledge and become certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or a Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) which are the most widely recognized project management certifications in the world. Students will attend training courses from a variety of business application and computer related courses. Certificates of training for Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Project software programs are also achieved and are three of the most important software tools used for efficiency by business, process engineers and project managers.
To obtain the PMP certification, you must meet the following:
- 4-year degree
- 3 years of project management experience
- 35 contact hours of formal project management education (The PMP class in this program meets this requirement.)
To obtain the CAPM certification, you must meet the following:
- a secondary degree, high school diploma, or the global equivalent
- minimum of 1,500 hours of project experience OR
- 23 hours of project management education by the time you sit for the exam (The PMP/CAPM class in this program will fulfill this requirement.)

The Business Technology: Microsoft Office Computer Specialist Program is designed to provide the academic and occupational skill training necessary to prepare students who want to validate their Microsoft Office computer skills and abilities. This certification preparation program covers Microsoft 365 cloud computing environment, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Microsoft Project at expert levels. Additionally, students will receive end user introduction on all the MS 365 productivity applications such as Power BI, Planner, SharePoint, OneDrive and OneNote. These increased computer proficiency skills make students relevant and vital resources for employers across the spectrum of the professional workforce.

Funding Sources

VET TEC® is a pilot program offered by the VA to assist veterans or transitioning service members (within 180 days of their separation) with entering the Information Technology career field. VET TEC® is designed to focus heavily on incentive providers to facilitate employment within 180 days after completion of an approved vocational program. For preferred VET TEC® providers, it encourages a full partnership with the students AND providers to secure gainful employment. The VA will not fund any training costs if verified employment is not obtained.
The Skillbridge (or Army CSP) program is for DOD servicemembers who are transitioning out of service within six months. This program allows you to take time off from your regular active duty job role to attend training. At Training Concepts, we provide training in CompTIA A+ Hardware, CompTIA A+ Software, and CompTIA Network+ free of charge to eligible Skillbridge participants.
The Veteran’s Readiness & Employment program is designed for veterans with a service-connected disability rating who are currently unemployed or underemployed. Through VR&E, you’ll be assigned to a VA career counselor who will assist you with getting a job (including paying for training) in a career path that better accommodates your injury or disability.
